Recoater Blade Rake Check and Adjustment
4. Place the two leveling fixtures under the lower edge of the recoater blade near to the
vacuum port and the bleed valve. Use the knurled knobs to clamp the leveling fixtures to
the recoater blade. Make sure that the leveling fixtures are secured perpendicular to the
recoater blade.

5. Visually inspect the level to ensure that the blade is perpendicular to the platform. If the
bubble is centered, the check is complete. If the blade has any rake (bubbles not exactly
centered), continue to the next step.
Do not over -tighten the knurled knobs. Over-compressing the plunger-tip will cause
the knurled knob to separate from the screw body.
