Key functions

The function of the PTC-1800's keys varies with the
active application. Table 6 describes the functions of
the PTC-1800's keys when the telephone application
is activated.
Table 6. Key functions of the telephone application
Function
Activates the telephone application.
Wakes up or suspends the PTC-1800.
These 12 keys (1 through0, *, and #) are
used to enter alphanumeric data into the
PTC-1800 (e.g., to create a telephone
directory) or function like the keys on a
standard telephone keypad.
Places a call on hold or reconnects a call.
Places a call to the number entered or
selected from the phone directory or from
the dialed calls list.
Answers an incoming call on Line 1.
Selects menu options.
Selects the OK button in dialog boxes.
Terminates a call on Line 1.
Rejects an incoming call on Line 1.
Cancels menu selections.
Selects the Cancel button in dialog boxes.
Backspaces and deletes characters in fields
that accept data.
Advances you to the next menu (indicated
by an arrow to the right of a menu option.)
