The available user groups have been
set up by your system administrator.
A box near the bottom of the
VoiceAlert screen indicates when the
PTC-1800 is in "Talking" mode.

Vibration alert
In the bottom right-hand corner of the Voice-Alert
screen is a Vib checkbox. Press the SK2 key to check
or uncheck this box.

The PTC-1800 will vibrate to alert

you to an incoming broadcast mes-
sage.
The PTC-1800 will not vibrate when

it receives an incoming broadcast
message.

Operating the VoiceAlert application

This section provides instructions for using the PTC-
1800's VoiceAlert application.

Sending a broadcast message

Follow these steps to send a VoiceAlert message to a
specific user group.
1. Press the Push-to-Talk button to activate the
VoiceAlert application. The Voice-Alert screen
displays. See Figure 16.
2. Press the Right arrow key to move to the Group
field and open the list of user groups.
3. Press the Down arrow key until the user group
that you want to send a broadcast message to is
highlighted.
4. Press the Send key.
