! Never reset the PTC-1800 unless
absolutely necessary. Resetting the
PTC-1800 erases all programs and
data in RAM.

Resetting the PTC-1800

Overview

If rebooting is not effective, you may have to reset the
PTC-1800. When the PTC-1800 reboots after a reset,
it returns you to the operating system.

Procedure

1. Remove the PTC-1800's battery pack, following
the instructions in Chapter 12.
2. Use a nonconductive object (such as a coffee
stirrer) to press the Reset button located in the
battery compartment.
3. Replace the PTC-1800's battery pack, following
the instructions in Chapter 12.
4. Press the On/Off key to initiate the cold reboot.
The unit reboots in about 2 minutes.
