If you store the PTC-1800 in below-freezing
temperatures for more than 1 hour, you can
improve the display's performance by waiting
until the unit warms up to room temperature
before using it.
Do not open or attempt to service the PTC-1800;
no user-serviceable parts are inside. Doing so will
void your warranty.

Storing/shipping the PTC-1800

Guidelines

Follow the instructions below if you plan to ship the
PTC-1800 or store it for more than 30 days.
Do not store the PTC-1800 in temperatures below
–4 F° (–20 C°) or above 104 F° (40 C°).
Do not store the PTC-1800 in a damp or humid
environment.

Procedure

1. Transfer any data stored in the PTC-1800 to a
host computer or another PTC-1800.
2. Make sure you have a copy of any programs stored
in the PTC-1800.
3. Disconnect any accessories from the PTC-1800.
4. Shut down the PTC-1800 via Windows CE.
5. Remove the PTC-1800's battery pack, following
the instructions in Chapter 12.
6. Use a nonconductive object (such as a coffee
stirrer) to press the PTC-1800's Reset button
located immediately behind the battery
compartment in the back of the unit.
7. Replace the PTC-1800's battery pack, following
the instructions in Chapter 12.
