*The functions of the PTC-1800's keys vary depending on the active application. Table provides a description
of the general functionality of the PTC-1800's keys. See the "Key funcitons" section in Chapter 10 for the
funcitons of the PTC-1800's keys when the telephone application is active.

These 12 keys (1 through 0, *, and #) are
used to enter alphanumeric data into the
PTC-1800 or function like the keys on a
standard telephone keypad when the
telephone application is activated.
Wakes up or suspends the PTC-1800.
Press to boot after reset.
Places a call on hold or reconnects a call.
The function of this key is dependent on
the PTC-1800's active application.
Activate the PTC-1800's laser scanner.
Also serve to wake the PTC-1800 from
suspend mode.
