Troubleshooting and tips

CAUTION!
When you connect or disconnect cables, refer to the safety notes in
chapters "Important notes" on page 13, "Installation" on page 23, and
"System components and expansions" on page 63.
If a fault occurs, try to correct it as described:
– in this chapter
– in the documentation of the connected devices
– in the help systems of the software used.
If you fail to correct the problem, proceed as follows:
Ê Make a list of the steps and the circumstances that led to the fault. Also
make a list of any error messages displayed.
Ê Switch the server off.
Ê Contact customer service.
7.1
Power-on indicator remains dark
The power-on indicator remains dark after you switch on your device.
Power cord incorrectly connected
Ê Make sure that the power cable is correctly connected to the server and to
the grounded power outlet.
Power supply overloaded
Ê Pull the power plug of the server out of the power outlet.
Ê Wait a few seconds, and plug the power plug into the power outlet again.
Ê Switch your server on.
