Internal SCSI configurations (1-channel version)

1-channel version with onboard SCSI controller (standard)
The server has one 2-channel onboard Ultra3 SCSI controller. One of the
channels is connected with the six internal hard disk drives.
The second SCSI channel is connected with the internal Ultra Wide SCSI bus
for the accessible 5¼-inch drives.
1-channel version with disk array controller
A disk array controller is installed into a PCI slot and connected with the six
internal hard disk drives.
In this case, the connection to the SCSI channel on the onboard Ultra3 SCSI
controller must be changed to the disk array controller.
The free SCSI channel on the onboard Ultra3 SCSI controller can be used for
external hard disk drives (optional: see also section "Upgrading external SCSI
interface" on page 109).
The second SCSI channel of the onboard Ultra3 SCSI controller remains
available for the accessible 5¼-inch drives.
Supplementary channels of the disk array controller are available for external
hard disk systems.
