Ê Shut down the operating system.
Ê Switch off the server, and disconnect it from the main power supply.

CAUTION!
The power switch does not disconnect the device from the line
voltage. To disconnect the line voltage completely, remove the power
plug from the grounded power outlet.
Ê Open the server, and remove the front doors, the top cover, the side cover,
and the slot cover (see chapter "Opening and closing the server" on
page 47).
Ê Remove the front panel (see section "Removing/mounting the front panel"
on page 98).

Ê Lay the server on its right side (as shown in figure 57). Remove the fastening
screws, and take off the floor stands (1).
Ê Remove the cage for the accessible drives (CD) (see section "Accessible
drives" on page 75).
Ê Carefully pull out 1/3 of the cage for the hard disk drives from the cage
guides (see section "Converting 1 to 2-channel version (1.6-inch HD
subsystem)" on page 101).
