3.2 Thermal head

3.2.1 Thermal head composition

The thermal printing head consists of thermal elements and their head controller as shown in the Fig. 3.1.
The serial data carried by the DATA IN signal are transferred into the feeding register synchronously with
the CLOCK signal and stored in the storage register using the LATCH signal. Head activating signals STB1
to STB4 switch the gates and activate the thermal elements according to the stored data.
