Those circuits are not powered all the time (printing, serial port transmission, etc… in normal mode) and function from time to time as needed. In the economy and standby mode this power supply is ineffectual.

During the start-up it is neces- sary to ensure the correct initialisation of the microcontroller and all of the logical circuits. The turning off conversely requires the saving of all vital data and reliable transfer of the microcontroller and logic circuits into the safe mode.

Euro-500TX Handy Service manual © Elcom, s. r. o. 2.3.6 Other circuits Checking of the accumulator voltage and power supply voltage The microcontroller detects the internal accumulator voltage using the internal A/D converter through the resistance voltage divider composed from resistors R56 and R57 (P-LOW signal). Similarly the microcon- troller checks the connection of the external power adapter through the resistance voltage divider compo- sed from R32 and R33 resistors (POWER signal).

Euro-500TX Handy Service manual © Elcom, s. r. o. 3.2.2 Data processing in the printing head The printing head has four gates (strobes) that allow the printing to be divided into four parts. The corres- pondence of these gates to individual thermal elements is shown in following table. Actual printing is divided into two parts (two gate signals are activated simultaneously).

Activation of the head in its top position could destroy the head or drastically decrease the head durability. The circuit and software were designed so that the printing head cannot be possibly activated in its top position.

The wrong screw can damage the front cover as it is screwed back. Do not rip the twine from the screw while tightening. As you close the ECR, make sure that all the ECR wiring and parts are in their respective places so accidental clamping in between closing covers couldn’t damage them or limit their functionality.
