Testing the Media Card DSP ports
Invoking alarm and log files

Media Card maintenance
To test the IP daugtherboard Digital Signal Processing (DSP) ports, the
following IP daughterboard DSP tests can be performed using the IP Line
shell.
Note: The DSPs and all associated ports must be disabled before
performing these tests.
To run a DSP port self-test, enter: DSPselfTest.
Note: If the DSP port self-test fails, the Media Card must be replaced.
To run a Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) loopback test, a Send loopback
test, or a Receive loopback test, respectively, enter the following:
— DSPPcmLpbkTestOn
(to stop the test, enter DSPPcmLpbkTestOff)
— DSPSndLpbkTestOn
(to stop the test, enter DSPSndLpbkTestOff)
— DSPRcvLpbkTestOn
(to stop the test, enter DSPRcvLpbkTestOff)
Alarm and log file output is turned on using the IP Line shell. The following
commands are entered at the IP Line shell prompt:
To turn on/off the error log file, type: logFileOn or logFileOff.
To display the modes of all log files/alarms, type: logFileShow.
