When the user accesses the system through a system terminal, a login
procedure is required. If a sysload (system reload) occurs before the new
password is saved in a data dump, the last active password remains valid.
Each system has two levels of passwords: level 1 is for general use, and
level 2 is for administrative use. Either password is accepted in the login
procedure.
Accessing the system from an SDI system terminal

To access the system from an SDI system terminal, follow the steps in
Procedure 1.

Press the Return key.
a.
If the response is OVL111 nn IDLE or OVL111 nn BKGD, the user
is ready to log into the system. Go to step 2.
b.
If the response is OVL000 >, the user is already logged into the
system. Go to step 4.
Responses vary with different Background Terminal packages.

Enter LOGI ADMIN1, then press the Return key.
The normal response is PASS?. If there is any other response, see
Software Input/Output: Maintenance (553-3001-511).

Enter either the level 1 or level 2 password and press the Return key. If
the password is correct, the system responds with the prompt >.

Enter LD xx, Where xx represents the number of the program.

Perform tasks.

To end the program, enter four asterisks (****).
