Preparing the 9040-MR9 system for operation after removing or replacing the rear USB
cable
To prepare the system for operation after removing or replacing the rear USB cable, complete the steps in
this procedure.
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2. If you removed a memory riser, replace the memory riser into the system backplane as shown in the
following figure.
a) Ensure that the two latches (A) are open.
b) Install the memory riser straight into the system.
c) Rotate the latches (A) closed to fully seat the memory riser into the system backplane.
