3. Access the Advanced System Management Interface (ASMI).
For instructions, see Accessing the ASMI without an HMC (www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/
POWER9/p9hby/connect_asmi.htm).
4. A new service processor card has the following settings:
• Port 1 default IP: 169.254.2.147
• Port 2 default IP: 169.254.3.147
You can also use the control panel display, function code 30, to display the IP addresses.
To reconfigure the IP addresses, see Accessing the ASMI using a PC or notebook and web
browser (www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/POWER9/p9hby/browser.htm).
5. If removed, reconnect the Ethernet, serial, and Universal Serial Bus (USB) cables.
6. Use the ASMI to ensure that the time is set correctly and to restore the service processor card
settings.
a) In the navigation area of the ASMI, click System Configuration > Time of Day.
b) Verify that the content pane displays the current date (month, day, and year) and time (hours,
minutes, and seconds).
c) In the navigation area of the ASMI, click System Configuration and restore the service processor
card settings by using the information that you recorded earlier.
