3. To remove the power supply; complete the following steps.
See the previous figure.
a) To unseat the power supply from its position in the system, push the locking-tab (B) in the direction
shown.
b) Using the handle (E), pull the power supply (C) away from the system.
Replacing a power supply in the 9040-MR9 system
To replace a power supply, complete the steps in this procedure.
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2. To replace the power supply; complete the following steps.
See the following figure.
a) Align the power supply (C) with the bay and slide the power supply into the system until the latch
(B) locks in place.
b) Connect the power cord (A) to the power supply (C).
c) Use the hook-and-loop fastener (D) and tie the power cord to the power supply handle.
