• To access the ASMI by using the HMC, complete the following steps:
a. Select the system on which you are working.
b. Click Tasks.
c. Click Operations > Launch Advanced System Management (ASM).
4. Reset the time-of-day settings by using the ASMI. To set the time-of-day, complete the following
steps:
a) In the navigation area of the ASMI, click System Configuration > Time of Day.
b) If the system is powered off, the content pane displays a form that shows the current date (month,
day, and year) and time (hours, minutes, and seconds).
c) Change the date, the time, or both, and then click Save Settings.
5. To verify whether the time is set correctly, complete the following steps:
a) Exit from the ASMI.
b) Label and disconnect the power source from the system by unplugging the power cords from the
system.
Notes:
• This system might be equipped with two or more power supplies. If the removing and replacing
procedures require the system power to be turned off, ensure that all power sources to the
system are disconnected.
• The power cord (B) is fastened to the system with a hook-and-loop fastener (A). If you are placing
the system in a service position after you disconnect the power cords, ensure that you unstrap
the fastener.
