How to Configure TCP/IP under Windows 98 and ME
How to Configure TCP/IP under Windows 2000
The following instructions are given for your orientation. For a
complete documentation, please refer to the documentation for
your operating system.
1. Got to Start > Settings > Control Panel. Double-click Net-
work.
2. If the TCP/IP protocol valid for your network interface
card is listed here, go to step 5. Otherwise, select Add.
3. Select Protocol > Add.
4. Select TCP/IP from the list of network protocols and con-
firm with OK.
5. If the network window is displayed again, click TCP/IP and
subsequently Properties.
6. Select IP Address.
7. Enter the IP address and the subnet mask for your com-
puter and confirm your entries with OK.
8. If the network window is displayed again, click OK and
restart the computer. TCP/IP has been installed on your
computer.
1. Right-click on your Windows desktop and select Network
and Dial-up Connections and then Local Area Connection.
Select Properties.
2. If the TCP/IP protocol valid for your network interface
card is listed here, go to step 5. Otherwise, select Install.
3. Select Protocol > Add.
4. Select Microsoft > TCP/IP from the list of network proto-
cols and confirm with OK.
