Special features
The block supports up to six quasi-parallel search operations in multi-cycle operation. For this
feature, the DB status word (DBZW) of the magazine table provides a storage area which is
shared by FB 111, FB 112 and FB 122 (search for empty location with and without con-
figuring). The following rules must be considered to ensure correct execution of a search job:
The search key must not change during the search. The block includes the parameter
"PRGK" (=No. of the program channel used internally for the internal job coordination). The
default for this parameter must be '0' when the search operation is called for the first time. In
this way, a new job is introduced to the block. The block, in turn, searches for a free internal
program channel and provides the number of the free program channel found via parameter
"PRGK". For any additional FB calls related to the initiated search process, the parameter
"PRGK" must be supplied with the number of the program channel. When the search
operation is terminated, the parameter "PRGK" is deleted by FB 111.
Search for all tools
The parameter setting "MAGE"=255 initiates a search for all tools matching the search key
within the search area which are then signalled to the user in the parameters "MANR"=Maga-
zine No. and "PLNR"=Locator No. For this purpose, the parameter "SUVL"="Search opera-
tion active" remains set during the entire search. If a tool is found, the parameter "GEF"=
"Tool found" is set for one PLC cycle. When the search operation is completed, the parameter
"SUVL"="Search operation active" is reset.
