Generate exchange list of missing tools (turning version)
for SINUMERIK 880/880 GA2 and package 2 only
Description
The exchange list can only be used in systems with an active magazine (if necessary, with se-
veral chained background magazines).
The "Exchange list, list of missing tools" FB evaluates the T and H functions loaded by the
leader of the part program. The H function is interpreted as target location in the active maga-
zine where the tool with T ID number is to be inserted. The specified locator number must be
within the magazine limits. If the locator number is greater than the maximum number of turret
locations, processing of the FB is aborted with an error message. In general, any tool with tar-
get locator number "0" is entered in the exchange list. During processing of the exchange list,
the user can decide which tool location is to be maintained.
When the machining program is started, the "Tool is required", "Tool is required repeatedly"
and "Tool has already been used" identification bits are reset in all chained magazines from
the initialized active magazine onwards.
The tool is then searched according to its T number and the following search sequence is ad-
hered to:
1. An active tool at target location 2 has the required T number.
2. Search for the active tool in the active magazine.
3. Search for the active tool in all chained background magazines.
4. A released replacement tool with the required T number is inserted at location 2.
5. Search for released replacement tool in the active magazine.
6. Search for released replacement tool in all chained background magazines.
The search routines 2 to 6 are initiated if the previous search was unsuccessful. If a tool is
found by the search routines 1 to 6, it is marked with the "Tool is required" identification bit.
A tool which has not been found at the target location of the active magazine is entered in the
exchange list by specifying the target location, source location and the ID number.
Any tool not found is entered into the list of the missing tools by specifying the target locator
number and the ID number. The exchange list enables a tool change from the background ma-
gazine to the active magazine.
The list of missing tools informs the user of any tools still required (tools that were neither
found in the active magazine nor in the chained background magazines).
