3.3 Switching−on reaction of the CP system

When the power supply is switched on, the node ascertains
automatically the current string assignment. It ascertains one
after the other which CP modules are connected to the rel
evant string.
If the current assignment is the same as the saved assign
ment, the CPX−CP interface will switch automatically to the
ready−to−operate status.
The RN LED of the CPX−CP interface as well as the status LEDs
on the connected CP modules light up (see Fig. 3/1).
If the current assignment is not the same as the saved as
signment, the string LEDs (L1 ... L4) of the relevant string will
flash on CPX−CP interface. In this case the CP system is not
ready to operate.
You then have the following possibilities of restoring the
readiness to operate:
Eliminate assignment faults manually or replace
individual CP modules (see section 3.4)
Save the current assignment as the set assignment
(see section 3.2.2).
