2.2 CP connections

Please note
Malfunction due to improper cabling
For connecting the CP modules to the CP string, use only

the special CP cable from Festo (type KVI−CP−..., see
appendix A.2).
Please note that the total length of cable on a string
·
must not exceed 10 m.
Depending on the CP modules used, the CP cables and
the current consumption, the permissible CP modules
and the permissible string length per CP string may be
limited, see section 2.2.1.
Observe the maximum permissible current consumption
·
per CP string, see section 2.3.2.
You will thereby avoid:
Faults in data exchange between the CPX−CP interface
and the connected CP modules.
