Provided that the organisational design of your machine/sys
tem requires replacement of a CP module during operation,
you can proceed as follows:
1. For CP output modules and CP valve terminals on the
CP string concerned:
Switch off the following sources of energy where
applicable:
Compressed air supply to the valve terminal
Power supply to the output module
2. Disconnect all cables and, if necessary, also tubing.
3. Connect all cables and, if applicable, tubing with the new
module of the same type.
4. For CP output modules and CP valve terminals:
Switch on the operating power supply or compressed air
supply again.
5. Now connect the new module of the same type to the
same string.
You can thus restore the defective connection during oper
ation, or replace the defective module without operation of
the other modules in the other strings being affected. When
the connection is restored again or replaced, the readiness to
operate will be taken up with the appropriate module auto
matically.
