Safety
3.5 Use/Field of Application
The product is an orthopaedic device that makes everyday activities such as standing and walking possible or easi
er for the patient. If the patient's activity level increases in the course of use, adjustments may be required.
Changes will also have to be made if the patient's physical condition worsens and more support from the product
is needed.
The orthopaedic technician and patient must discuss the daily duration of use and potential therapeutic measures
(e.g. occupational therapy or physiotherapy) to improve performance. In general, major discomfort should not be
experienced when wearing the product. The affected limb should be checked by patient or caregiver periodically
for areas of excessive pressure. If excessive pressure is observed, the orthopaedic technician should be seen as
soon as possible.

► For the "low damping" setting in empty battery mode, the patient must have the necessary muscular and cog
nitive abilities to control a freely moving knee joint without stance phase stability.
► You can switch back to basic mode from empty battery mode by charging the product.
► Observe the error signals (see Page 82).
