Check Item
Printer driver may be defective.
Program ROM may be defective.
MAIN board Assy may be damaged.
Is media rear sensor Assy judged as normal when checked
through "Test: Sensor" of self-diagnosis function?
Program ROM may be defective.
MAIN board Assy may be damaged.
Ask the user if daily maintenance is performed.
Is cleaning done adequately?
Is ink caked on wiper?
Is ink filled in the ink tubes?
Print from "Check: Adjustment" -"Adj: Nozzle Check" of self-
diagnosis function.
Does pump motor rotate during cleaning operation?
Are gears and transmission gear shaft damaged or poorly engaged
during cleaning operation?
Action
Update printer driver.
Replace MAIN board Assy .
• Reconnect MAIN board Assy connector

• Replace P_REAR sensor .
Update firmware.
Replace MAIN board Assy .
If daily maintenance is not performed, instruct him/
her to do it daily.
Perform cleaning twice or more consecutively.
Wiper Assy may be damaged. Replace it.
Perform economy ink charge.
If the nozzle check patterns are printed correctly, refer
to the action in check item No. 4.
