HP 330/660 MB Disk Controller Board Removal and Replacement

(Model 400s)
The controller board on these disks may be replaced if it is found to be bad. This per-
mits users to save their data on the disk.
Follow these steps to remove the controller board. Reverse these steps to replace the
controller board.
1. Remove the disk from its bracket.
2. Remove the two screws from the inside front holding the controller board to
3. Remove the back two screws holding the controller board to the disk housing.
4. Lift the controller board from right to left with the drive front facing you and

Internal SCSI Cable Removal and Replacement (Model 400s)
Refer to Figure 5-30 and follow these steps to remove the internal SCSI cable:
1. Remove the top and side covers, right trim plate, and mass storage covers.
2. Disconnect the SCSI cable from the back of the motherboard.
3. Remove the screw holding the SCSI cable's terminator to the top, inside mass
