HARDWARE OUTLINE
General
The power supply is controlled by an ON/OFF switch.
Additionally, the
plasma display screen must be in a raised position for the power supply to
operate.
This power unit is an input/output insulating type switching regulator
employing two flyback converters.
The first flyback converter stabilizes
the low voltage outputs (+5 V, -5 V, -12 V); the other provides a high
voltage (-205 to -200 V) output for plasma display and +12 V.
Since the
mode of rectification can be changed with the input voltage selector
switch,
input voltages of either 115 V or 230 V can be used.
Also, an
erroneous input voltage (i.e., an input of 230 V at the 115 V setting)
simply blows the input fuse; the main body of the power unit is protected.
Reinforced insulation is employed for parts such as transformers,
photocouplers, and printed boards which require insulation between primary
and secondary circuits.

Power Supply Circuit
A rush resistant input fuse Fl is employed to withstand input rush
current.
The line filter is composed and C43 of choke coils L40, L41, L42 and L43,
and capacitors C40, C41, C42 and C43, which reduce input terminal noise.
The line filter also suppresses impulse noises from the AC line.
