PREFACE
This Technical Guide contains a detailed explanation of the operation of the CPU
module, the floppy disk controller, display/keyboard, disk drives, and power
supplies for the computer. General checkout procedures to aid you in tracing
problems to a specific subassembly or PC board but no further are included.
Information on the hard disk controller board, floppy disk drive, and hard disk
drive is also provided. In addition, you will find data sheets for several of
the integrated-circuit chips used in this computer.
This guide limits repair procedures to replacement of subassemblies only. A
parts list containing part numbers for major subassemblies may be found in
Section 1, item 8. Additionally, a detailed parts list for each subassembly
may be found at the end of each section. Using the part numbers, you can order
the major subassemblies and some components through your Panasonic Service
Office. |
To aid you in recognizing problem areas, we recommend that you obtain a
diagnostics disk and an RS-232C loop-back plug from the Panasonic Service Office.
If you have any problems with the computer, contact the service office.
