7. Disconnect the cables and plugs from the solenoid
valve block and pressure control valve block.
8. Disconnect the hoses from the pressure control valve
block and solenoid valve block. With cloths, catch
and mop up escaping residues of calibrating oil.
9. Remove four hexagon nuts from the valve support.
10. Remove the valve support (see Fig. 87, item 1).

Removing the pressure control valve block
1. Remove the valve support (see section 6.22.1).

2. Detach the pressure control valve block
(see Fig. 88, item 2) from the mounting plate.

Installing the pressure control valve block
Install the pressure control valve block in the reverse
order. Tightening torques of hose fitting, filter
bracket and hose coupling: 15 Nm.

Replacing a pressure control valve of
the pressure control valve block
!
Dirt particles (e.g. chips, fluff or similar) in the
pressure control valve block may cause the pressure
control valves to fail. For this reason, the utmost
cleanliness must be ensured when replacing the
pressure control valve.

The seal 1 680 109 139 may only be used once.
!
The base surface of the pressure control valve block,
the seal and the sealing edge of the pressure control
valve must be free from dirt particles (e.g. chips,
fluff or similar). Swirl and clean all components in
clean test oil available prior to installation.. Never
blow out the pressure control valve block with com-
pressed air!

1. Remove the pressure control valve block from the
EPS 708 (see section 6.22.2). Then proceed as
described in this section.
2. Remove the pressure control valve from the pressure
control valve block.
3. Take the seal 1 680 109 139 out of the hole in the
pressure control valve block.
4. Insert a new seal in the hole.
5. Apply a little oil to the thread of the pressure control
valve.

Note the tightening torques.
6. Screw in the pressure control valve.
7. Tighten the pressure limiter to 70 Nm.
8. Slacken the pressure limiter again by 90°.
9. Tighten the pressure limiter to 85 +5 Nm.
10. Install the pressure control valve block in the
EPS 708 in the reverse order (see section 6.22.3).
