The following procedure is described for pressure
sensor B49 (transfer) by way of example. When
replacing pressure sensor B48 (venturi), proceed in
the same way as described for pressure sensor B49
(transfer).
6.39.1
Removing pressure sensor B49
i
Have a cloth ready for catching and mopping up
calibrating oil.
1. Switch off the EPS 708 at the master switch.
2. Secure the master switch so that it cannot be swit-
ched back on.
3. Unplug the mains plug or disconnect from mains
electricity.
4. Check that there is no power.
5. Remove the cover of the hydraulics chamber
(see Fig. 7, item 1).
6. Remove both bolts (Fig. 141, item 1).
7. Pull pressure sensor (Fig. 141, item 2) out of the

6.39.2
Fitting pressure sensor B49
1. Lubricate O-ring on the new pressure sensor with
test oil.
2. Connect connection cable to pressure sensor B49.
3. Push pressure sensor into sensor block.
4. Fasten pressure sensor with fastening screws (2x)
and washers (2x).
Tightening torque: 5 +1 Nm
5. Fasten cover on the hydraulics chamber
(see Fig. 7, item 1).
6. Perform zero point adjustment (see section 6.39.3).
6.39.3
Performing the zero point adjustment
i
After pressure sensors B48 and B49 have been re-
placed, a zero point adjustment must be performed.
For this, the pressure sensors must be exposed to
ambient pressure.
1. Switch on the EPS 708 at the master switch.
2. Start the software EPS945.
 The software performs initialization.
3. In the "Injection component test main menu" start
screen, select <F7>.
 A password request appears.
4. Enter the password in the input line:
5. Confirm your entry with <F12>.
