Checking the pressure sensors

The high-pressure rail is fitted with two pressure
sensors B9 and B10 for measuring the rail pressure.
The output signals of the two pressure sensors are eva-
luated by the control device and displayed in the EPS
945 system software as a pressure value or pressure
curve (uniform delivery). Parallel pressure measure-
ment (redundancy) is also employed as a means of mu-
tual monitoring and for checking the
filter loading.

The software detects the current rail configuration by
way of the memory module. The rail configuration infor-
mation (emergency shut-off pressure, maximum pressu-
re, etc.) is loaded at the factory and cannot be altered.
Reading out the memory module:
1. Switch on the EPS 708 via the master switch.
2. After booting of the PC, start the application
EPS945-PE/VE/CR in the Bosch applications list.
