Removing the electric fuel pump

For removal, get a cloth ready and ensure a suitable,
leakproof surface for depositing components.
1. Remove the front cover of the calibrating oil chamber.
2. Disconnect all hoses (see Fig. 69, item 1) from the
calibrating oil tank. Catch and mop up calibrating oil
residues with a cloth.
3. Disconnect all connecting cables
(items 2, 3, 4 and 5) from the calibrating oil tank.
4. Remove the front segment of the calibrating oil tank
lid (item 6).

5. Slacken the two screws on the center segment of
the calibrating oil tank lid (see Fig. 70, item 1), take
it out of the tank and set down on the leakproof
surface.
6. Remove the three screws (see Fig. 70, item 2) and
detach the calibrating oil tank lid from the electric
fuel pumps.

7. Identify the electric fuel pump that needs replacing.
8. Disconnect the blue connecting cables from the
affected electric fuel pump.
9. Disconnect the hose from the fitting of the electric
fuel pump.
10. Slacken the screw (see Fig. 70, item 2) of the
affected electric fuel pump and remove the pump
from the bracket (item 1).

11. Slide off the two O-rings (see Fig. 71, item 1) and
the seal (item 2), and keep for installation.
