6. Unscrew the union nut (Fig. 108, item 2) of the
cable gland on the three-phase motor M11
(see Fig. 14, item 9).
7. Remove the cover (Fig. 108, item 1) from the  motor
terminal box.
8. Disconnect all wires of the connection cable
1 684 465 587 from terminals U1, V1, W1 and PE in
the motor terminal box.
9. Pull the connection cable 1 684 465 587 out of the
motor terminal box. The connection cable
1 684 465 587 with grommet is no longer needed for
the new frequency converter.
Removing the frequency converter
1. In the frequency converter A13 (see Fig. 102, item 1),
disconnect the wires of the connection cable
1 684 463 713 from terminals CC and VIA.

2. Remove the frequency converter from the mounting
panel. This requires removing the four fastening
screws (see Fig. 109) with the aid of a long hexagon
screwdriver. Hold the frequency converter firmly
during this process.

Installing the frequency converter

The new frequency converter and all parts needed
to install and connect the new frequency converter
are included in conversion kit 1 687 001 990.
!
The new frequency converter A13 (from FD 2015-11)
is contained in conversion kit 1 687 023 774 and
comes with a parameter set that is designed for the
EPS 708.
!
All vents in the frequency converter A13 must be
clear. Do not attach any labels to the vents.
1. Using four cheese-head screws (M5 x 10) and
washers, attach the adapter plate (Fig. 110, item 1)
to the mounting panel (for the installation site, see
Fig. 103, item 1).
2. Press the frequency converter A13 (Fig. 110,
item 3) onto the top-hat rail horizontally (Fig. 110,
item 2) until it audibly locks into place.
