4. Slacken and remove the two Torx screws from the
directional control valve (Fig. 97, item 1).
5. Remove the directional control valve
(Fig. 97, item 2).
!
During installation, make sure that the three sealing
rings on the underside of the directional control
valve are correctly seated in the appropriate holes.
!
Note the tightening torque.
6. Install a new directional control valve.
Tightening torque: 1.5 Nm
7. Install the coil (see section 6.27).

To ensure sufficient working space when removing
and installing the check valve, we recommend also
removing the neighboring check valves.
1. Remove the solenoid valve block from the EPS 708
(see section 6.26.1). Then proceed as described in
1
this section.

2. Remove the check valve (item 1).
!
Use the correct tightening torque (see Fig. 99) when
tightening the check valve. An incorrect tightening
torque can damage the sealing ring or strip the
threads of the check valve. The tightening torque de-
pends on the sealing ring material (fiber sealing ring
or copper sealing ring). A copper sealing ring can
be used only if the hole in the valve body is counter-
sunk (spot faced).
max. 6 Nm

sunk hole
2 Copper sealing ring 2 916 710 605 (A10 x 13.5 x 1) for valve
body with countersunk hole
3. Screw the check valve with sealing ring into the
valve body and tighten it. Observe the tightening
torque.
