Filling the water chiller
!
Only fill the chiller with clean, filtered water. Make
sure the hose assembly is clean before filling!
!
Never put any additives in the refrigerant circuit. as
these would affect the cooling output.
1. Remove the sealing plug from the inlet valve
(see Fig. 49, item 1) of the water chiller.

The sealing plug is needed again later.
2. Connect the inlet valve (Fig. 49, item 1) to the water
mains via a hose assembly (Fig. 49, item 2).

3. On the back of the EPS 708, route the drain hose
(see Fig. 50, item 3) into a plastic container of the
like (Fig. 50, item 2).
4. Open the tap of the water mains.
5. Open the inlet valve (Fig. 49, item 1).

6. To bleed the water tank, give the knurled nut of the
bleed valve (Fig. 50, item 1) an approx. 90°counter-
clockwise turn and hold until water flows out of the
drain hose (Fig. 50, item 3).
 This bleeds the water tank.

If the knurled nut is turned too far, the bleed valve is
heard to engage and closes again.
Close the inlet valve (see Fig. 49, item 1).

Close the tap of the water mains. Leave the hose

assembly in position, as it is needed again. Do not
remove the hose assembly.

Concluding operations
1. Check the protective conductor in accordance with
DGUV A3.
2. Switch on EPS 708.
3. Check the direction of rotation of the fan wheel
immediately after switching on the water pump (see
direction of rotation arrow). If the fan wheel is rota-
ting opposite the specified direction of rotation, the
phases in the motor terminal box are interchanged.
4. Switch on EPS 708.
5. Run the functional test (see section 6.7.6). Check
that all connections on the water pump and on the
water tank are tight.
6. After a successful function test and after filling the
water chiller, reattach all covers.
