Replacing the water pump (M3-P) in
the water chiller
6.8.1
Disconnect water pump electrically
DANGER - Risk of electric shock from ha-
zardous voltage.
Electric shocks resulting from contact with
live parts (e.g. main switch, printed circuit
boards) can cause injury, heart failure and
fatality.
Secure the main switch so that it cannot
be switched back on.
Unplug the mains plug or disconnect the
EPS 708 from the mains before opening.
1. Drain the water chiller (see section 6.7.1).

2. Remove the cover (Fig. 44, item 1) from the  motor
terminal box.
3. Loosen the cable gland (Fig. 44, item 2) on the mo-
tor terminal box.
4. Disconnect the connection cable (Fig. 44, item 3) in
the motor terminal box.
5. Pull the connection cable (Fig. 44, item 3) out of the
cable gland.

1. Carefully remove all insulating material from the
front part of the water pump. The insulating material
can be reused for the new water pump.
2. Carefully remove the insulating material that is
wound around the flexible corrugated tubing
(Fig. 45, item 4). The insulating material can be
reused for the new flexible corrugated tubing.
3. Remove the union nut (Fig. 45, item 3) from the
reservoir.
4. Loosen the screw clamp (Fig. 45, item 1).
5. Pull the hose (Fig. 45, item 2) up and off the hose
fitting.
6. Remove the hex head bolts (4 x; Fig. 45, item 5).
7. Remove the water pump from the water chiller.
8. Remove the hose fitting (Fig. 46, item 1).
9. Remove the flexible corrugated tubing
(Fig. 46, item 3).
10. Remove the reducer (Fig. 46, item 2).
