7. Updating the parameters
of the frequency converter
Important information
Only the functions described in these repair
instructions can be used in the IndraWorks
software. The user himself must bear res-
ponsibility for any further use. In the event

parameter sets provided by Robert Bosch

Firmware and parameter sets can only be installed
using the BOSCH memory card R 911 298 785.
This is included in parts set 1 687 010 365.

Following any change to the frequency converter,
the safety log must be printed out again.
One copy remains with Customer Service for their
personal documentation, one copy is left with the
customer.

Updating parameters

7.1.1 Preparatory work
1. Insert Bosch Memory Card in the care reader on the
notebook.
2. Insert "Edis" DVD in CD/DVD drive of the notebook.
3. Open folder "Master 1.2" or higher under 'LW:EDIS\
SOFTWARE\SYSTEMSW\EPS708\PAR_FU_
BOSCHREXROTH' (LW = drive letter of the CD/DVD
drive).
4. Copy all folders to the Bosch Memory Card (do-
cumentation, firmware, set of parameter, Plc and
user). If there are already data on the Bosch Memory
Card, replace them with the new data.
7.1.2 Starting update
1. Switch off the EPS 708.
2. Remove the front cover of the electrical
compartment.
3. Insert Bosch Memory Card (Fig. 146, item 2) in the
memory card slot on the frequency converter
(Fig. 146, item 1). Make sure that the memory card
is positioned correctly.
