6.9.3
Preparing the fan
1. Remove fan from the packaging.
2. Cut off all wire ferrules at the end of the connection
cable.
3. Use a wire stripper to strip the black (BK), blue
(BU), brown (BR), red (RD), gray (GY), orange (OG)
and green/yellow (GN/YE) wires to the appropriate
length for the provided wire ferrules. The rest of the
wires are not needed for the connection.
4. Slide a ferrule (0.5 mm² x 10 mm) with protective
collar onto the black (BK), blue (BU), brown (BR)
and green/yellow (GN/YE) wires, and crimp tightly
with a crimping pliers (see Fig. 54).
5. Slide the red (RD), gray (GY) and orange (OG) wires
into a ferrule (0.75 mm² x 10 mm) with protective
collar, and crimp tightly with a crimping pliers
(see Fig. 54).

Installing the fan
1. Carefully lift the fan with the connection cable han-
ging downward into the test bench and slide through
the opening in the chiller.
2. Secure the fan with four hex head bolts and
washers.

Connecting the fan electrically
1. Push the connection cable into the electrical cabinet
through the cable gland (see Fig. 15, item 2).

nents, see section 4.8.
2. Connect the wires of the connection cable in the
electrical cabinet in accordance with the following
table.

3. Place the connection cable in the cable duct.
4. Attach the covers to the cable ducts.
5. Tighten the cable gland (see Fig. 15, item 2).
6. Place the cover on the electrical cabinet and secure
with 4 fastening screws.
7. Secure the connection cable with cable ties.
6.9.6
Concluding operations
1. Check the protective conductor in accordance with
DGUV A3.
2. Switch on EPS 708.
3. Run the functional test (see section 6.7.6). Check
the direction of rotation of the fan (see direction of
rotation arrow). If the fan wheel is rotating opposite
the specified direction of rotation, the phases in the
electrical cabinet are interchanged. Replenishing the
water is not necessary here.
4. After a successful function test, reattach all covers.
5. Attach the side cover of the test oil area.
6. Attach the front cover of the test oil area.
