Note the tightening torque.
6. Tighten the clamp bolts to the specified torque
evenly crosswise in two or three stages.
Tightening torque: 17 Nm
7. Using a dial gage, check concentricity on the outside
diameter of the flywheel (max. 0.3 mm) and realign
and re-tighten the flywheel if necessary.
8. Using a dial gage, check the axial runout of the
flywheel (max. 0.1 mm) and realign and re-tighten
the flywheel if necessary.
9. Check the tightening torque of the clamp bolts
in order of their arrangement. Installation is only
complete when none of the clamp bolts can be
tightened any further.

Replacing the drive motor

WARNING - Risk of getting trapped by the
heavy motor and heavy flywheel!
There is a risk of getting trapped during
removal and installation of the drive motor
and flywheel.
Always remove and install the drive motor
and flywheel with the aid of another
person.
Wear protective gloves.
Wear safety boots.
WARNING - Risk of burns from the hot
drive motor!
There is a risk of getting burned from
touching the hot drive motor.
Never touch the drive motor unless
wearing protective gloves.
When the drive motor is very hot, wait
until it has cooled down.
DANGER - Risk of electric shock from
dangerous voltage!
Electric shocks resulting from contact with
live parts (e.g. master switch, printed circuit
boards) can cause injury, heart failure or
fatality.
Secure the master switch so that it cannot
be switched back on.
Unplug the mains plug or disconnect the
EPS 708 from the mains before opening.
Wait until the discharge time of the drive
unit's DC intermediate circuit (drive motor
with converter) has elapsed (< 50 V).
