3. Switch on the EPS 708 via the master switch.
4. Start the EPS945 software.
 The software performs initialization.
5. Close the protective hood of the EPS 708.
6. Insert the "EP software" CD in the CD/DVD drive.
7. In the "Injection component test main menu" start
screen, select <F7>.
 A password request appears.
8. Enter the password in the input line:
9. Confirm your entry with <F12>.
10.1.3 Copying the test sequence into the local
database

If the database is already available in its entirety,
the steps described in this section do not have to
be performed, and you may proceed with section
10.1.4.

The CD version must not be older than 3.45.
1. In the "Configuration" window, select the menu
item "System >> Data backup".
2. Continue with <F12>.
3. In the "Selection of destination" field, select the
drive "D:\(CD ROM)".
 The test sequences 0445020105 C0 and
0445020105 C1 are displayed in the "Component
target location" field.
4. Select test sequences 0445020105 C0 and
0445020105 C1 in the "Component target
location" field.
5. Copy the selected test sequences onto the local
drive with <F5>.
6. Exit the "Data backup" window with <Esc>.

1. In the "Configuration" window, select the menu
item Calibration >> Rail pressure sensor.
 The "Rail pressure sensor calibration" window
opens.
 The serial number and the calibration date of the
reference pressure sensor are displayed in the
1958
External pressure sensor box.
2. Remove pressure sensor (see Fig. 155, item 4) from
high-pressure connection for high-pressure rail.

The pressure sensor zero adjustment is possible
with software version 4.35 or higher.
i
The pressure sensor must be zeroed at ambient
pressure (atmospheric pressure); otherwise, the rail
pressure sensor will be calibrated incorrectly.
3. Zero the pressure sensor with <F3>.
4. Connect pressure sensor (see Fig. 155, item 4) to
the high-pressure connection for the CRI/CRI piezo
distributor rail of the high-pressure rail.
Tightening torque 20 — 30 Nm.
5. In the "Rail pressure sensor calibration" window,
press <F7>.
 Pressure sensor calibration is active.

Pressure sensor calibration can only be stopped by
ending the EPS 945 software.
6. Continue with <F12>.
7. Exit the menu with <Esc>.
 The software re-initializes the devices.
8. Open the "Component selection" window with <F12>.
9. In the "Type number" input box, enter the numbers
0445020105
10. Press <F2> to open the "Database" menu.
11. Select the "Search for components" menu option.
 The "Component selection Local database"
selection window appears.
12. Select the pressure sensor calibration test sequence
0445020105 C0 and open with <F12>.
13. Open the "Measurement display" window with <F12>.
14. Start the pump test with <F8>.
 The drive of the EPS 708 starts up.
