3. CONDITIONS CAUSING LOW ENGINE COMPRESSION

The following conditions principally can cause low engine compression:
- Scratched liner; which also implies high oil consumption
Damaged rings

Insufficient valve-to-seat sealing due to:
-
- dirt between valve head and seat;
abnormal wear of the seat caused by worn / stuck valve guide / rod;
-
- deposits resulting from combustion problems.
