Possible cause
A calibration procedure is in proc-
ess.
The line density is outside the user-
defined two-phase flow limits.
HART burst mode is enabled.
The transmitter has been restarted.
The process has triggered Basic
Event 1.
The process has triggered Basic
Event 2.
The calculated Frequency Output is
outside the configured range.
The Frequency Output has been
configured to send a constant val-
ue.

Recommended actions
Allow the procedure to complete.
For zero calibration, you may abort the
calibration, set Zero Time to a lower val-
ue, and restart the calibration.
Check for two-phase flow.
Check the live density reading against
the upper and lower two-phase flow
limit settings.
No action required.
If desired, you can set Alert Severity
Level to Ignore.

Review event configuration if you be-
lieve the event was triggered errone-
ously.
Check the Frequency Output scaling.
Check process conditions. Actual condi-
tions may be outside the normal condi-
tions for which the output is config-
ured.
Check for air in the flow tubes, tubes
not filled, foreign material in the tubes,
coating in the tubes, or other process
problems.
Verify that the measurement units are
configured correctly for your applica-
tion.
Purge the sensor tubes.
Cycling power to the meter or restart-
ing totalizers will restore the Frequency
Output to normal operation.
Check whether the output is in loop test
mode. If it is, unfix the output.
Check whether the output has been set
to a constant value via digital communi-
cation.
