After you configure the router, you can back up the configuration settings. When you back up the settings, they
are saved as a file. You can then use the file to restore the settings on the same router if something goes wrong
or on a different router (must be the same model) that will replace the existing router.
To backup your configuration files:
1. Click Maintenance > Firmware & Config > Backup / Restore tab.
2. To Download Debug Logs click Download. You will be prompted to save a file with the extension ".tgz".
Select a safe location on your computer and save the file. The settings will be saved in this file in the Tar
archive form.
3. To save the file to your computer, click Save to System (PC). If you have a USB thumb drive connected
to the router, you can click Save to USB Port 1 (or Port 2).
