VSP 7000 FI Mesh with SMLT

In the previous example in section 1.5.1, a Fabric Connect Mesh configuration was provisioned using four
standalone VSP 7000 switches. In this example, we will use the rear ports 38 and 39 as an IST and
create two SMLT clusters consisting of 7001 and 7002 and a second cluster made up of 7003 and 7004.
Please note that the VSP 7000 requires minimum two ports members for an IST. For this
example, we are using the red rear ports (ports 38 and 39) so that only one rear port cable is
required. If we used the two bottom blue ports (ports 37 and 38) for the IST, then two rear
cables will be required.
For the VSP 7000, it is important to not enable the filter-untagged-frame option on the IST port
members. Also, the default PVID of all IST ports must be the primary B-VLAN ID; for this
example, this will be B-VLAN ID 4051. This will happened automatically providing SPB is enable
first prior to enabling the IST.
