1.6.1.14 Adding Service VLANs for data and vMotion
For this example, we will create an L2VSN for vMotion using VLAN 1600 with I-SID 1001600 that will also
be added to nodes 8001 and 8002 that in turn will have IP Shortcuts enabled allowing for routing to the
data center.
Switch
L2VSN – for Services/vMotion and VMware mgmt
7001, 7002, 7003, 7004
7001, 7002, 7003, 7004

Create VLANs – 7001, 7002, and 7004
Same configuration on all switches
7001(config)#vlan create 61 type port
7001(config)#vlan create 1600 type port
7001(config)#vlan ports 9,10 tagging tagall filter-untagged-frame enable
7001(config)#vlan configcontrol flexible
7001(config)#vlan members add 61,1600 9,10
7001(config)#vlan members remove 1 9,10
