5.6 Managing Licenses

5.6.3.2 Returning Licenses Offline
If the Review Station is not connected to the internet, you can
activate the license offline. Using this method you exchange a
Request (XML file) for a Response (XML file) with your ZEISS
representative.
5.6.3.2.1 Requesting License Return
When you deactivate a license, you create an XML file and send it
to your ZEISS representative.
To deactivate a license offline:
1. Login to the CLARUS® 500 software on the Review Station
as an Administrator.
2. Select Settings > Licenses.
3. For Offline License Return, type the active Activation ID
listed at the top of the page.
4. Click Create.
5. Navigate to the network folder or flash drive location where
you want to save the request file.
6. Click Save.
7. From a computer connected to the internet, send the XML file
to your ZEISS representative.
5.6.3.2.2 Returning the License
To deactivate a license offline:
þ You sent the deactivation request file for this license to your
ZEISS representative.
þ Your ZEISS representative returned a deactivation response file
for this license.
þ You saved the response file on the network or a flash drive to
install on the Review Station.
