Turn the MENU SEL control/button to move the m
cursor to the item you want to set, then press the
MENU SEL control/button.
The m cursor changes to a ? mark.

Turn the MENU SEL control/button to switch to
the desired settings, then press the MENU SEL
control/button.
The ? mark changes back to the m cursor and the
setting value is entered.

To set other items, repeat steps 3 and 4.

To end the menu operation, set the VF DISP
switch to ON.
The OPERATION menu disappears and the
settings of the selected items appear on the
viewfinder screen.

4-7-2 Setting the Marker Display

Use the MARKER page of the OPERATION menu to
switch the center marker, safety zone marker, and box
curser on and off, and to specify the area indicated by
the safety zone marker at 80% or 90% of the screen
area.
Setting the marker display

Set the VF DISP switch to MENU.

Turn the MENU SEL control/button to display the
MARKER page, then press the MENU SEL
control/button.
CENTER: Set to ON to display the center marker.
SAFETY ZONE: Sets the safety zone to 80% or
90% of the screen area, or OFF.
Note
When 4:3 SAFETY is set to ON on the WIDE
SCREEN page, the screen will have an aspect ratio of
4:3, and the safety zone size will be as follows:
90%: 90% of the screen area
80%: 80% of the screen area
OFF: 100% of the screen area
BOX CURSOR: Set to ON to display the box
cursor.
BOX H POS: Moves the box cursor left or right
on the screen.
BOX V POS: Moves the box cursor up or down
on the screen.
BOX WIDTH: Sets the width of the box cursor.
BOX HEIGHT: Sets the height of the box cursor.

Turn the MENU SEL control/button to move the m

Turn the MENU SEL control/button to change the
setting as required, then press the MENU SEL
control/button.
The ? mark changes back to the m cursor and the
setting value is entered.

To end the menu operation, set the VF DISP
switch to ON.
