4-7 Setup by OPERATION Menu
4-7-3 Setting the GAIN Selector
Values
Before using the video camera for the first time, use
the GAIN SW page of the OPERATION menu to set
the gain values corresponding to the L, M, and H
positions of the GAIN selector, which switches the
gain of the video amplifier.

Setting the GAIN selector values

Set the VF DISP switch to MENU.

Turn the MENU SEL control/button to display the
GAIN SW page, then press the MENU SEL
control/button.
LOW: Setting of a gain corresponding to the L
position of the GAIN selector
MIDDLE: Setting of a gain corresponding to the
M position of the GAIN selector
HIGH: Setting of a gain corresponding to the H
position of the GAIN selector

Turn the MENU SEL control/button to move the m
cursor to item that you want to change, then press
the MENU SEL control/button.
The m cursor changes to a ? mark.

Turn the MENU SEL control/button to the value
that you want, then press the MENU SEL control/
button.
The ? mark changes back to the m cursor and the
setting is entered.
You can set a value of -3, 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, or
30 dB to each of the L, M, or H positions, in any
sequence.
To change the gain value for another switch
position, return to step 3.

To end the menu operation, set the VF DISP
switch to ON.
The OPERATION menu disappears and the
current settings appear on the top and bottom edge
of the viewfinder screen.
Note
If you want to change the settings of the GAIN
selector values, the black set must be adjusted.
