4-7-4 Selecting the Aspect Ratio

(for OHB-550WS/550WSP only)

Use the WIDE SCREEN page of the OPERATION
menu to make the settings related to the aspect ratio of
the video output signal.

Set the VF DISP switch to MENU.

Turn the MENU SEL control/button to display the
WIDE SCREEN page, then press the MENU SEL
control/button.
16:9/4:3 MODE: Selects the aspect ratio of the
output signal ("16:9" for wide screen mode;
"4:3" for standard mode).
Notes
• When you use the lenses with 0.8 × extender, if
you select the 0.8 × position, the aspect ratio of
the video output signal automatically turns to the
4:3 aspect ratio.
• When a CCU is connected, the aspect ratio setting
on the CCU is automatically applied. This setting
cannot be changed on this page.
VF ASPECT: Selects the aspect ratio of the
viewfinder screen ("AUTO" for the aspect ratio
selected by the 16:9/4:3 MODE setting; "4:3"
for the 4:3 aspect ratio, regardless of the 16:9/
4:3 MODE setting).
4:3 SAFETY: Selects the function of safety zone
marker ("ON" for displaying the safety zone by
the setting of MARKER page of OPERATION
menu for the 4:3 aspect ratio area; "OFF" for
displaying the safety zone in the size specified
on the MARKER page).

16:9 ID ON VF: Turns on and off to display 16:9
indication in the viewfinder screen.
16:9 ID ON BARS: Turns on and off to display
16:9 indication on the color bar.
Note
While the OPERATION menu is displayed, 16:9
indication is not displayed on the color bar.

Turn the MENU SEL control/buttton to move the
m cursor to item that you want to change, then
press the MENU SEL control/button.
The m cursor changes to a ? mark.

Turn the MENU SEL control/button to the setting
mode that you want, then press the MENU SEL
control/button.
The ? mark changes back to the m cursor and the
setting is entered.

To end the menu operation, set the VF DISP
switch to ON.
The OPERATION menu disappears and the
current settings appear on the top and bottom edge
of the viewfinder screen.
