4-7 Setup by OPERATION Menu
On this video camera, the OPERATION menu is used
for adjusting or making basic settings (default
settings).
The items you can adjust or set with the OPERATION
menu are as follows:

4-7-1 Selecting Display Items

You can select the items to be displayed on the
viewfinder screen from the VF DISPLAY page in the
OPERATION menu. The items that can be
individually specified as either ON or OFF in the VF
DISPLAY page are as follows:
• Zoom position and extender indication
• Shutter speed/mode indication
• Iris opening indication
• AUDIO level indication
• Remainging tape indication
• Filter indication
• White balance memory indication
• Gain indication

Selecting the display items
Do the following procedure to select the items to be
displayed on the viewfinder screen.

Note
When MODE is set to CHG, the ON/OFF indication
changes to "*" and ON/OFF settings cannot be mode.
Set the VF DISP switch to MENU.
The OPERATION menu appears on the viewfinder
screen.
Turn the MENU SEL control/button to display the
VF DISPLAY page, then press the MENU SEL
control/button.
ZOOM: Zoom position and extender indication
SHUTT: Shutter speed/mode indication
IRIS: Iris opening indication
AUDIO: AUDIO level indication
TAPE: Remaining tape indication
MESSAGE: Being set to ON, displays a message
for about 3 seconds in the center of the
viewfinder screen whenever you change the
settings of filter, white balance memory, gain,
DCC (AUTO KNEE) or shutter speed.
MODE: Set this page to CHG to display the
settings of filter, white balance memory or gain
only when their settings are different from the
standard settings. Set this page to USR if you
want to make an ON/OFF setting for an item on
this page.
FILTER: Filter indication
WHITE: White balance memory indication
GAIN: Gain indication
